1. Power off the player and wait five
seconds. 2. Press and hold DVD MENU and ON SCREEN on the player. 3. Power on the player. 4. Release both buttons. 5. Press STANDBY. The word TEST should appear next to a number. 6. Press the DVD MENU button twice on the player. 7. When the display reads 000 5858, use the UP and DOWN buttons to change the 000 value to 02E. 8. Use the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to change the 5858 value to 0000 for region-free, 0101 for region 1, 0202 for region 2, or 0404 for region 4. If you experience difficulties with Region 4 discs, change the above setting to "0458" and make sure that PAL or NTSC is correctly set on your player. 9. Press ENTER on the player. 10. Press STANDBY and wait for 5 seconds. 11. Press STANDBY again. |

Press and hold the On Screen and Title keys simultaneously and plug the AC cord back in while holding the keys pressed down. 4. Release the keys when you see Test JC3 or Test JC2. 5. Press Enter. 6. The resume light will turn on. 7. Press the Power button to turn the player off. 8. Press the Power button again to turn on your player. Note: If steps 7 and 8 don't work, unplug and re-plug your player instead of using the power switch to turn the player on and off. |

| XV-515 | 1. Locate wire jumper B532 on the player's PCB, nearby
the front panel, underneath the connector linking the board with the one above. 2. Cut the jumper. 3. Turn on the power. 4. PW (Password) will be displayed. 5. Enter the code 5963 with the remote. 6. PW OK will be displayed. 7. Switch the set off and on. 8. This will make the player region free, but every time you wish to view a multiregion disc (or non-region 2), you have to insert the disc then unplug the machine for a few seconds then press Play. 9. Do NOT press the On button, as this will revert the player to region 2. Note: If steps 7 and 8 don't work, unplug and re-plug your player instead of using the power switch to turn the player on and off. |

| XV-D2000 | 1. Press Power to turn the machine off. 2. Wait 5 seconds. 3. Press and hold DVD Menu and On Screen buttons together on the player, then press Power on the player to switch it back on. 4. Let go of the DVD Menu and On Screen buttons. 5. Press Standby on the machine, the display should now read either TEST 2, TEST 4, or TEST 6 depending on the machine's current region setting. 6. Press DVD Menu on the machine twice in a row, and the display should now read "000 5858". 7. Press the Up and Down cursor buttons and change the first three numbers to "02E". 8. Press the Left and Right cursor buttons and change the last four digits to "0000" for region free, "0101" for region 1, "0202" for region 2, "0404" for region 4, "0808" for region 8 and interesting ly "2020" for region 20, but do not use this region! 9. If you experience problems with region 4 DVDs, change the number in part 8 above to "0458" and make sure PAL or NTSC is correctly set on the machine. 10. Press Enter to confirm the region change. 11. Press Standby on the machine to turn it off. 12. Wait 5 seconds. 13. Press Standby on the machine to turn it back on. |

| THA5R | 1. Insert region 1 disc - you get region err - but, this
tells the player which region DVD you wanted to play. 2. Eject the DVD, take the DVD of the tray and close it. 3. Hold down, on the front panel of the player, the "Stop" button until intital is displayed both on-screen and on the player panel. 4. Whilst initial is displayed, press the open button on the player, be quick. 5. Re-insert the DVD and close the drawer - BINGO! NOTE: that's the factory reset , after doing this reset the player will play ANY disc but when you eject it the player is region coded again , of course the downside of having to do this everytime is that you loose all of your settings. Another method: To temporarily change the region on this player |
