2.  Press 7, 6, SELECT on the remote control.
3.  You should now be in the hidden setup menu, where you can change the player to any region you wish, or choose 13 for region-free.
4.  The player should have the Macrovision disabled out-of-the-box, even with the hidden menu second page Macrovision option set to 1.		 Yes

AD-M212/512 1.  You need to flash your firmware back to a previous revision before you can hack the player.
2.  Go to www.cyberhome-help.de/download_firmware_english.php4 and follow all instructions to downgrade your player firmware.
3.  Use the hack method for the AD-N212 above to set the player's region.  You may need to type the hack buttons in using the player's front panel rather than the remote for the hack to work.
4.  The player should have the Macrovision disabled out-of-the-box, even with the hidden menu second page Macrovision option set to 1.		 Yes

2. Press STOP on the remote control.
3. Press 1, 9, 9, 9 on the remote control.
4. A new menu should appear.
5. Choose ALL in the region code menu.
6. Turn the player off by using the remote control.

Here's a fuller method, which I'll integrate at some point:

1. Turn on your dvd player
2. open the tray
3. press the stop button on your remote
4. enter 1999 using the remote a menu will pop up.
5. select the region code using the remote (set it to ALL)
6. confirm it, using enter
7. leave the menu using the return button on your remote
8. close the tray

2. Close tray.
3. Using the remote control, key in the following: MENU, 1, 9.
4. A menu will appear with the region option near the bottom of the screen.
5. Press ENTER, enter the desired region AND PRESS ENTER again to save the desired region.
6. Next press OPEN / CLOSE.		 Yes

CH-LDV 710		 Make sure that the tray is open before starting the hack.
1. Press the Setup button on the remote control.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 1, 3, 6, 9.
3. Press the Left button on the remote control three times.
4. Press the Right button on the remote control.
5. Select the new Version option from the menu.
6. You will now be able to change the value to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback.

Other methods for newer models of 400:

1. Use the Hack as listed above to get the 'version' option in the menu.
2. After this, move cursor down to VERSION and then cursor right to highlight B40016c.
3. Then enter 1 3 6 9 again.
4. Now you can move the cursor up or down to change the region code to 0.
5. This should work for the newer versions.

which makes the player code-free (for Regions 1 and 2 anyway)

2. Before you se any firmware, make sure you check which chipset you have to get the correct version.
3. To do this, press Menu, 1, 2, 3, 4 to see which you have.

Another method (probably will NOT work!):

1. Open the tray.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Stop, 3, 3, 5, 8, followed by the region number required, or use Fast FOrward for region-free.

! ATTENTION !
There are different hardware revisions of the 505 in circulation. Early built devices implement the STi5508 chip while more recent ones use the STi5519.
Both chips are virtually the same, but they require different firmware files!

To remove macrovision, you have do modify the firmware upgrade files and then do the update (please first ensure that you have the right files for your player, see link above).
Do the modifications with the lates version of the too 'abconf' that you can download from its homepage: www.powerglitch.com

Codefree setting is not possible. However, you can change the region code at any time - see first link above.

1.Turn ON the player.
2.press(click) STOP.
3.enter 4408.
4.enter 0 for multizone,1 for USA ,2 for Europe.

4. On System Setup Page highlight "Region Code"
5. Press enter and then from the choices on the right, using up and down arrows on your remote,select "all".
6. Press "Return" on your remote.
7. Close drawer.
