1. Power on the player.
2. Open the players tray and leave it open.
3. Make sure no disc is inserted.
4. Using the remote control, key in 0, 1, 0, 8, followed by the region number, or use 0 for region free.

1. Power on the player.
2. Open the players tray and leave it open.
3. Make sure no disc is inserted.
4. Using the remote control, key in 0, 1, 0, 8, followed by the region number, or use 0 for region free.
5. Press Stop on the remote control 8 times.
