If you have any region free DVD solutions and would like to submit them to me, then please do so! The site would not grow as quick and would not be as accurate if I did not receive solutions and confirmations from people.
Thanks to you, the popularity of this site has went from strength to strength and is now listed as the number one web-page for the search phrase REGION FREE DVD in Yahoo and on the first page of results in Google!
The latest news about the site is detailed below:

I'd like to thank all those that have helped add and confirm hacks through the bulletin boards. I have taken out all of the relevant stuff and have also been pruning the forums down to remove the non-relevant stuff etc.
There will be more updates soon, as I still have large amount of updates and confirmations from various sources. I have been somewhat busy with my Discharge website getting it up-to-date, as it is getting more traffic now and has recently been visited by the band themselves.
There will also be a new version of the CD soon, as I have found more firmwares for players. I may expand the CD to include firmwares for DVDROMs but I am not sure if this is a good idea or not, as a lot more can go wrong with them (I was a victim of bad firmware for my Ricoh combo unit), not necessarily immediately after the upgrade - it can take months for a bad firmware upgrade to manifest itself!
Players updated etc this time:
Aiwa, Audiovox, Classic, CyberHome, Cytron, Daewoo, Ellion, Grundig, Himax, Hyundai, JBL, Kawasaki, Kotron, LG, Loomax, Magnavox, Memorex, Mustek, Orion, Oritron, Philips, Pioneer, Polaroid, Ronin, Samsung, Sky, Sony, Technika, Tevion, Thomson, Toshiba, United, Yamaha, Yamakawa.

Another set of hacks for you all, along with news that the Service Disc 2 for the Panasonic RV31 (and others) cannot be easily copied due to the need for using Authoring DVD-Rs rather than the General Purpose discs that are the more common now. As these are hard to come by as well as the high cost, it means that the disc can only be hired out. I will need a hefty deposit in order to help me keep the disc in good condition as well as not getting lost!
Players this time:
Akura, Audiovox, CyberHome, Digitor, Finlux, GPX, Jamba, JVC, LG, Mascom, Mirror, Myryad, Neuston Maestro, NEC, Panasonic, Philips, Ronin, Sansui, Technika, Tevion, Thomson, Tokai,
If anyone wants to take photos of the methods as they are doing hacks, especially if the hack works, then by all means please do so! I will feature them possibly on the site, but definitely on the CD version.

Anyone wishing to make their DVDROM region-free, please use the excellent software from Fengtao - DVD Region-Free, which has banner ads all over this site...it is THAT GOOD! Also, if you want to flash player firmware and find that the links in the site do not work anymore, most of them can be found on the CD version of the site, available in the shop section. Just a couple of weeks on and there are even more hacks!! There seems to be more of these methods to program PDAs to ping previously unhackable players such as Sony coming out. A some point I will have to review what text I have found and edit it to suit. The Region Free Shop is now open too, so feel free to have a look around. There may not be much in there at present, but I'm hoping this grows.

Another update to the site, with a lot more to follow! Some more news is that I have started to sell copies of the Site with a lot of firmwares that can be burned to CD to upgrade your player. There are also some more of those Palm Pilot hacks coming out now, which emulate those special remotes that are available to hire. These remotes can upgrade the likes of Sony players to become region-free! So, now we have the ultimate methods for players that were consdiered unhackable in the past. If you would like a copy, then it can be yours for £3 plus shipping. I will be putting this and more up in the new section at shop.regionfreedvd.net very soon. Other stuff includes custom CDs for upgrading specific players and if people want them, Apex 1100WB DVD players (like mine!) that will be region-free, macro-free and (S)VCD enabled! Let me know if you are interested in any of these offers.
